Carrier Airways Completes Proving Flights

Carrier Airways, established in 2016, successfully completed its proving flights on September 19, 2024, using a Beechjet 400A to obtain FAA certification under FAR 135 for the operation of turbojet aircraft. This certification marks a significant milestone for the company, expanding its capabilities to include jet-powered aircraft operations. Carrier Airways, with bases of operations in Smyrna and Greeneville, Tennessee, is well-positioned to offer expanded services to its charter clients across the region.

The proving flights, a critical requirement for FAA certification, demonstrated Carrier Airways’ ability to safely and efficiently operate turbojet aircraft under the strict guidelines of Part 135. The addition of turbojet aircraft to its fleet further enhances the company’s charter service offering, providing passengers with greater speed, range, and comfort.

With its years of experience in the air charter industry and now equipped with FAA-approved turbojet capability, Carrier Airways continues to deliver high-quality, reliable service to its clients. This new certification is expected to boost Carrier Airways’ market presence in both personal and business charter services, catering to a broader clientele across Tennessee and beyond.
